Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) USB Audio Interface The Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) is a compact and easy-to-use USB audio interface designed for solo recording artists, podcasters, and voiceover artists. It features a single XLR microphone input with a preamp that delivers up to 56dB of gain, along with a 1/4" line input for instruments or other audio sources. The interface also has a 1/4" headphone output and a direct monitor switch, allowing for zero-latency monitoring during recording. I am doing Voice Over for almost 5 years and I am using Focusrite Scarlett Solo for 2 years. Here are my experiences with Scarlett. The Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) also includes a number of useful features for recording and mixing, including a high-performance 24-bit/192kHz AD-DA converter, a phantom power switch for condenser microphones, and a large volume knob for easy level control. It also comes with a suite of software including Ableton Live Lite, Pro Tools First, and a range of F
